Then We Can Help You.

Teeth whitening is a cosmetic treatment which involves bleaching your teeth to make them whiter. The best way to keep your smile healthy and bright is to look after your teeth and gums, but it’s not unusual to need a little help.

You might consider teeth whitening for different reasons. Your teeth can lose their whiteness with age but can also become stained by smoking or drinking lots of tea, coffee or red wine.

Fortunately, our professional whitening treatments quickly and safely remove stains, without damaging your teeth. We’ve seen thousands of patients grow in confidence thanks to a brighter, whiter smile.

We provide two teeth whitening options at practices across the UK: in practice whitening applied by a dentist, and teeth whitening kits to use at home.

We Offer Safe
Professional Teeth Whitening.

Laser technology is the most modern way of whitening teeth.  The process takes 20 minutes for your top and bottom teeth.

An instantaneous improvement in the colour of teeth occurs due to the laser. This treatment is the fastest procedure to enjoy great results.

Teeth-Whitening

Is teeth whitening right for you?

  • You’ll need to be 18 or over to have teeth whitening
  • Your teeth and gums must be healthy, which your dentist will check during your initial consultation*
  • It’s best to delay having your teeth whitened if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, because it’s not clear whether the whitening products can affect the baby
  • Be aware that teeth whitening won’t lighten the colour of any crowns, veneers, bridges or dentures

You’ll need to have a consultation* to check you’re suitable for whitening treatment. If you’re eligible, your dentist will discuss which whitening option might suit you best, and the associated cost.

If you’re unsuitable for treatment, you could consider composite bondingveneers or crowns for particularly discoloured or damaged teeth. Your dentist will explain your options during your consultation.

Teeth whitening aftercare

If you take good care of your teeth after treatment, professional whitening can last for some time. To maximise its effects, we recommend:

    • Brushing your teeth with fluoride toothpaste for two minutes, twice a day, to remove daily stains
    • Flossing daily
    • Regularly visiting the hygienist for a scale and polish
    • Stopping or at least cutting down on smoking
    • Cutting back on foods and drinks which can stain your teeth, such as coffee and red wine

Top-up kits are also available to maintain your new smile. Your dentist will explain how to care for your smile after treatment.

ENLIGHTEN TOOTH WHITENING

We use the Enlighten tooth whitening system as it’s been proven to be highly effective and can lighten teeth to the whitest and brightest shade. Treatment is simple and effective and can be completed in just a few straightforward steps over a short period of time.

  • The process begins with the construction of your custom-made whitening trays. Our Dentist will take impressions of your mouth so the whitening trays can be fabricated.
  • Once the whitening trays are completed we will check they are comfortable and that they fit tightly over your teeth, ensuring the whitening gel will not leak out.
  • We’ll supply you with the Enlighten whitening gel. We will show you exactly how much gel to use in the trays, and how to correctly seat the trays in your mouth over your teeth so you get the best from this premium system.
  • All you need to do is to use the whitening trays for the prescribed amount of time each day. This could be just one hour or even overnight for just a couple of weeks.
  • It’s important to follow our instructions as they are designed to make sure you whiten safely and comfortably. If your teeth are particularly sensitive then we have special toothpastes and gels to help increase comfort during treatment.

On average after two weeks you will return to see our Dentist to assess the success of treatment. At this stage you can choose to have a booster treatment at our clinic. This uses a higher strength of whitening gel to help maximise the whiteness of your new smile. Once treatment is complete you can prolong the results by using Enlightens evo-white stain removing toothpaste. Tooth whitening is not permanent. But all you need to do is maintain the results periodically, using your custom-made whitening trays and top up at home.

WHITENING SAFELY

If you are interested in tooth whitening then you will need a full consultation with one of our Dentists. They will need to examine your teeth and gums to make sure you are suitable for tooth whitening.

Our Dentists can also explain the type of results that can be reasonably achieved, as some shades of teeth will bleach more easily. Certain teeth might not respond to bleaching, for example if they have darkened due to root canal treatment. If this is the case, then we may recommend covering up these teeth with veneers so they blend in with your newly whitened smile.
